Ken Hessel was our Vicar in 1985 and 1986. Pastor
Hessel was ordained and installed in July of 1987 as Associate Pastor at
Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig, IA and remained there until 1990.
In that year he accepted a call to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in
Omaha, NE (associate pastor) before accepting another call to Faith Lutheran
Church in Huntsville, TX (again associate pastor). In 1998 Pastor
Hessel accepted a call to be Pastor at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Old
Westburry, NY Pastor Hessel is the Chaplain, Firefighter, and Emergency
Medical Technician for the Westburry volunteer fire department. It was
through this that he was at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11th & 12th,
2001.
Pastor Hessel was married in 1998. His wife's name is Theresa.
They have two children, a daughter Kaellen, 1990, and a son Erik, 1992. |

Kenneth Wise was our Vicar in 1986 and1987. Pastor
Wise served at Pinnacle Lutheran Church in Rochester, NY as assistant Pastor
from 1988 to 1991. He then served as Sr. Pastor at Redeemer Lutheran in
Seymour, Indiana. Pastor Wise is currently serving as Associate Pastor
at Concordia Lutheran in Fr. Wayne, Indiana with responsibilities in the
area of evangelism, missions, small group ministry and Confirmation
ministry. Pastor Ken and his wife Sue have a son Matthew age 13, and a
daughter Amy age 10. Sue is a Social Worker at Lutheran Hospital of
Ft. Wayne. |

Paul Williams was our Vicar in 1987 and 1988. Paul
finished his seminary training in 1989 and served in his first parish just
outside of London , England, being ordained in March, 1990. In
November of 1995 Pastor Williams accepted a call to Grace Lutheran Church in
Kitchener, Ontario Canada where he is currently serving. Paul is
married and has one child born in early 2002. |

Donald Thompson served as our Vicar in 1988 and 1989.
Pastor Thompson is currently serving as pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church,
Cortez, CO |

Chad Lueck served as our Vicar in 1989 and 1990. Pastor
Lueck is currently serving at Good Shepherd in Bloomington, IL. |

Brad Viken served as our Vicar in 1990 and 1991.
Pastor Viken is currently serving at Immanuel in Grand Forks, North Dakota. |

Tom Beck served as our Vicar in 1991 and 1992. Tom
returned to the Seminary and later left the ministry profession. |

Brian Handrich served as Vicar in 1993 and 1994.
Pastor Handrich is currently serving at Immanuel in Wakefield, Nebraska. |

Michael Dickey served as Vicar in 1995 and 1996. Mike
returned to he Seminary and later left the ministry profession. |

Steve Hayden served as Vicar in 1998 and 1999. Pastor
Hayden is currently serving at Love of Christ in St. Cloud, Minnesota. |

Mike Gudgel served as Vicar in 1999 and 2000. Pastor
Gudgel is currently serving at Faith Lutheran Church in Oak Lawn, IL.
Mike and Karen are the proud parents of Ella Grace Gudgel born June 11th

Eric Rubble served as Vicar in 2000 and 2001. Pastor
Rubble is married and currently serving at Trinity Lutheran Church in
Cumberland, MD |

Scott Schilbe served as Vicar in 2001 and 2002.
Pastor Schilbe was ordained on August 15th and is serving Christ Lutheran
Church in Rochester, MN Pastor Schilbe was married this summer, he and
his wife Jennifer are living at 2904 20th Street SE, Rochester, MN
55904 |

Morgan Hamilton served as Vicar in 2002 and
2003. Morgan has now returned
to Concordia Seminary in St, Louis to finish his last year
before entering the ministry. |

Jonathan Fisk served as Vicar in 2004 and 2005.
During his vicarage Jonathan and his wife Merideth became the proud parents
of their first child, a daughter Chloe. Jonathan and his family have
now returned to Concordia Seminary in St. Louis to finish his last year of
Seminary studies. |

Samuel Morsching served as Vicar in 2005 and
2006. During his vicarage the construction for Building on the
Cornerstone, The Lutheran Church of St. John expansion, began. Samuel
will spend a couple of weeks in Minnesota with his family before returning
to St. Louis to finish his last year of Seminary studies. |

Steven Mueller served as Vicar in 2006 and
2007. Steven was with us for the completion of the expansion and
dedication of our new facilities. During his vicarage Steven met his
future wife Mary Faith. Steven returned to the Seminary for his final
year and then received a call and returned to Quincy as an assistant pastor
at St. James Lutheran Church. |

James Fernandez served as Vicar in 2007 and
2008. During his year of vicarage, his wife Jackie also served us as
our DCE. James and Jackie have now returned to St. Louis to begin his
final year in preparing for the ministry. |
