In Luther’s Small Catechism, he reminds us that the power of God is given through His Holy Word. It is the power of the Word that makes Baptism a "life-giving water, rich in mercy and grace." It is the power of the Word that connects the bread and wine with the body and blood of Jesus Christ, who feeds us for spiritual refreshment and strength. It is God’s Word that we are to "hear, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest . . . that by patience of comfort of Thy Holy Word we may embrace, and ever hold fast, the blessed hope of everlasting life" which God has given us in Christ Jesus. (Collect for the Word). If you desire to grow stronger in your faith, if you want to more fully and faithfully follow your Lord Jesus Christ, if you want His life and His light to shine through you in your family and in all your relationships, all these things come through a study of the Word of God. We invite you to join one of our many Bible Study groups to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. As our God causes the earth to grow, bloom, and blossom during the summer months, why not let His word of truth bring about the same growth in your heart and soul? Join a Bible study and see what God will do!

SMALL GROUP BIBLE STUDIES BEGIN NEW SMALL GROUP BIBLE STUDIES There is still time to sign up for one of our small group Bible studies beginning in September. As of the end of August, we had over 80 adults signed up to participate. We are hoping to get over 100 adults involved. You could help make that happen. The theme of our small group study is "Help for the Hurried Life." These Bible studies will help us focus on what is most important in life. Everybody is busy in life. However, many people feel hurried, hassled, and overwhelmed at times. These studies will get us into God’s Word which can have a profound effect on our lives. It will be a six-week commitment for those who join a small group. There are classes available on Sunday morning, Monday evening, Wednesday morning and evening, Thursday evening, and Saturday evening. We strongly suggest the weekday groups, as there is more time for discussion and fellowship. But if a weekday time won’t work for you, sign up for one of the classes available here at church on Sunday mornings. We all face the troubles and trials of life in a sinful world that often is against us. God, our Father, wants us to face the world with others and to conquer the challenges through a stronger faith in Him.Sunday morning, 9:30 - 10:15 am Monday evening, 7 pm.
